On November 17, 2003, the City Council voted to waive the fees for homeowners and businesses whose property was destroyed or damaged in the recent firestorm. The City Council approved the waiver of waste disposal fees at Miramar Landfill (only) and agreed to provide reimbursement of concrete and brick recycling costs at approved facilities associated with the demolition of property damaged in the 2003 firestorm within the city of San Diego.

Beginning Saturday morning at the Scripps Ranch Local Assistance Center and Monday morning at the Tierrasanta Community Service Center we will have packets available for property owners to pick up the above information (items 3,4,5) along with vouchers for fee waivers and recycling. These can be used immediately.
