Scripps Ranch is one of a kind: it’s a community where children can still play in the streets, we proudly fly the American flag, and neighbors aren’t strangers, they’re family. It’s a small town in the big city and the place we call home, and we keep the special small town feel through commitment to our community and traditions.
One tradition that we hold dearly is our annual tree lighting ceremony. You’re invited to be part of this special holiday event on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 4:00pm at Jerabek Park. Your neighbors from the Scripps Ranch Civic Association and the local Girl Scouts will be ready to greet you with a cup of hot chocolate, baked goods, and a smile. The Scripps Ranch High band will fill the cool winter air with festive music and holiday cheer. And if you’re feeling especially generous this season, our hometown heroes, the Marines from MCAS Miramar, will be there to greet you and accept any Toys for Tots donations. Bring a toy and help bring a smile to the face of a needy child in San Diego.
So pull out those cozy winter coats, grab your family and friends, and come down to Jerabek Park and enjoy what makes Scripps Ranch so special. Wishing you and yours the happiest of holidays!
