The Scripps Ranch Schools Committee
“Working together for your children and your community’s schools”
The Scripps Ranch Schools Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month (during the school year) at 4:30 pm in the SR Library’s seminar room. For more information, contact co-chair Lorelle Mudd at [lorelle@san.rr.com].
The Scripps Ranch Schools Committee (SRSC) is a standing committee of the Scripps Ranch Civic Association (SRCA).
The Schools Committee will be committed to working together to assist in providing educational excellence to the children of the Scripps Ranch cluster of public schools. The Schools Committee is a partnership among the Schools’ administration, parents and community leaders who collaborate, plan and enhance the traditions of Scripps Ranch to encourage values in learning, develop essential skills and attitudes for a productive life, provide a safe nurturing environment and foster scholastic excellence.

The role of the Schools Committee:
- Help to create/raise public awareness among community members – Work with families, teachers, school site personnel and residents of Scripps Ranch school cluster on school-related issues.
- Discuss and research school related issues and solutions brough forth by
- Scripps Ranch area residents, school cluster families and business owners;
- School Administration and/or the School Site Governance Team;
- SRCASC Members;
- City and County of San Diego;
- San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD); and
- SDUSD Board of Education.
- Make recommendations to the San Diego Unified School District, the Board of Education, the Scripps Ranch Planning Groups, and the City of San Diego on issues that pertain to Scripps Ranch cluster schools.
The Scripps Ranch Schools Committee includes the following:
The Principal, Site Governance Team Representative, and Parent/Teacher Group Representative from:
- Dingeman Elementary
- EBS Elementary
- Jerabek Elementary
- Miramar Ranch Elementary
- Marshall Middle
- Scripps Ranch High School.
The committee also includes representatives from the following organizations:
- SRCA – Scripps Ranch Civic Association
- SRPG – Scripps Ranch Planning Group
- MRNPC – Miramar Ranch North Planning Committee
- Rec Council

- MRN MAD –
- MCAS Miramar
