The parish of St. Gregory the Great is a vibrant and active community committed to spreading the love of Christ to others. We do this through community outreach programs such as building homes in Tijuana, serving meals at St. Vincent de Paul, visiting the homebound and elderly, and much more--all while maintaining a welcoming and loving parish community.
Many exciting things are happening at St. Gregory the Great. Parishioners are looking forward to the expansion of the parish hall to include a full kitchen. The parish hall is constantly bustling with activity from meetings, classes, and social gatherings. Parishioners have become adept at putting together potluck dinners for groups of every size, but the addition of a kitchen is a truly exciting development. The expansion also will include much needed storage facilities.
A longtime dream of the parish has been to build a Catholic elementary school. That dream will be realized with the opening of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Elementary School in StoneBridge Estates in September 2009.
The groundbreaking for the school is on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 12:30 pm, with Bishop Robert Brom presiding. The ceremony will take place at the site of the future school. Immediately following the ceremony will be a celebration to mark this momentous occasion. Both the ceremony and the celebration are open to the public. We hope you join us!
Come enjoy a casual atmosphere, upbeat music, and interesting messages from Pastor Jack Hawkins, a well-known camp and conference speaker. Jack's messages will make you laugh and think while building your relationships with family, community, and God.
During September, our OASIS youth program kicks off the new school year with an all star fundraiser.
