Have you renewed your commitment to be a dues-paying SRCA member? If not, I again encourage you to join the SRCA now, which can be done easily with your credit card at the SRCA website at [www.scrippsranch.org], or send in the form you received in the mail.
Thanks to all the dues-paying members who responded to the survey we sent regarding the notification and evacuation impacts at your household from the October wildfires. As previously mentioned, these results will be used by our City Council office and the San Diego fire and police departments to address how logistics could be handled better when the next wildfires occur.
I'd like to formally thank, on behalf of all Scripps Ranch residents, the families who responded to last month's Newsletter request to form a new Graffiti Busters squad. The contact information can always be found in the Directory on page 85 of each month's Newsletter.
The Newsletter editorial staff only used the actual graffiti example on last month's cover after discussion with our local police department. They also are eager to build a quick-response team that can assist us in keeping the community cleansed of this activity.
Speaking of volunteers deserving of thanks, make sure to leaf through pages 9-17 to take note of a number of our neighbors who were recognized for their community volunteerism at the SRCA's annual Recognition Night. If you're interested in furthering your volunteerism and contribution to our great community, please contact any of the SRCA officers in the Directory on page 85.
To find your district, please visit [www.scrippsranch.org] and check the SRCA map. To volunteer, please call the SRCA's executive vice president, Jan Kane, at 577-0014. This is a great way to give back to your community.
