Blueprints and Plans available for Pickup Inserted

When the Scripps Ranch homes were destroyed in Firestorm 2003, the City reproduced
the blueprints and plans from the homes from the official files, for the use
of the owners. Some copies of these plans have still not been picked up, and
are still available for the use of the owners at the Scripps Ranch Information
Center, on 11885 Cypress Canyon Drive, opposite Marshall Middle School. Owners
of the houses at the addresses below are welcome to come and pick up your plans
for use as needed.

within their store for Scripps Victims of the Cedar Fire. Bring the items that
you would like to puchase to the Customer Service Counter and present your

Fire Victim Pet Assistance Program Inserted

In the wake of the most devastating wildfires in southern California history,
the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, in coordination with the PETCO Foundation,
is initiating a fire-relief pet assistance program to aid people and pets impacted
by the fires. Up to $500 worth of pet-related assistance per household. Please

City Recommended Changes to Building Codes Inserted

As an additional step to assist property owners who lost their homes during
the 2003 wildfires, the City of San Diego (Dec 19th) sent letters to Scripps
Ranch and Tierrasanta residents advising them of recommended building code
changes designed to help prevent future fires. Please

High Speed Wireless Internet
Access for displaced families Inserted 11/13/2003
Free High Speed Internet Access is now available
at the Scripps Ranch Information Center (Community Service
Center, 11885 Cypress Canyon Drive). The SRCA would like to
thank Intel for donating the wireless network equipment and
Jorge Farfan for donating the computers. In cooperation with
the City of San Diego and Councilman Brian Maienschein staff,
the SRCA set up several computers for public use. A wireless "Hotspot" for
laptop users with 802.11b-enabled and apple Airport-enabled
Wi-Fi computers is now available.

Library Information - Updated 11/08/03
If you lost books in the fire, please contact Nancy Assaf at 858-538-8158.
She is the branch librarian for Scripps Ranch. The library will remove all
fines and not charge displaced residents for lost books. Please call the
library and let them know that your book was destroyed.
The Library has 11 Internet-accessible computers available free-of-charge
on a walk-in basis. New Hot Mail e-mail accounts can be established.
These terminals are also
equipped with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
