Starting in early October, Scripps Ranch residents will have new travel choices for getting around the San Diego region.

SANDAG, Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), and Caltrans will complete the construction of the Miramar College Transit Station, and the nearby Direct Access Ramp (DAR) connecting Hillery Drive in Mira Mesa to the I-15 Express Lanes.

Scheduled to open by Oct. 12, in conjunction with the launch of high-frequency, limited-stop Rapid transit services, Rapid 235, which began service in June between Escondido and Downtown San Diego, will start serving the Miramar College Transit Station. Rapid 237, a brand new line that will travel between Rancho Bernardo and UC San Diego, starts the next day. Both Buses will access the Transit Station from the I-15 Express Lanes via the DAR to improve speed and reliability.

Sustainable Scripps Ranch will have our November lecture on this topic – stay tuned.
