Welcome to Scripps Ranch Trails

There is a lot to do in Scripps Ranch and getting out in nature is no exception. Our community has more than 30 wonderful trails just steps from your front door. Some trails have some fun surprises like tree swings, a rock stacking exhibit, inspirational quotes on trail signs, painted rocks, a large wooden mobile, and even some tee pee structures built in the 1970’s when Scripps Ranch was just beginning.

The Scripps Ranch Trails Committee was started in 2021 by Bill Simmons, Don Endicott and Helen Plutner. They are still on the Committee today and are joined by Committee Chair Bernie Rhinerson and several other residents who love volunteering to improve our trail system for all to enjoy. We would especially like to thank Don Endicott for the many hours of hiking and creating this digital trail map for our community.

If you are interested in helping to plan trail events and working on small trail projects, new committee members are always welcome.

We also maintain an email list of residents who are interested in participating in trail work projects and joining our Community hikes that we hold a couple of times each year. If you would like to be notified of trail work projects and our Community Trail Hikes, please send us an email to [email protected]

• The Committee meets on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. (mostly on zoom)
• Trail work is usually scheduled on weekends and volunteer availability.
• Tools in most cases will be provided.
• Scout troops, church groups, and other groups are encouraged to work with us.
