Scripps Ranch Community Center 11885 Cypress Canyon Rd

Master Gardener Janice Schock returned to her gardening roots after retiring from her educational therapy practice. Her presentation will cover basic gardening concepts needed to start evolving an edible landscape. Gather some landscaping tips and ideas and learn about plant basics, including fertilizers, compost and plant selections. Note: September is the perfect month to get started with cool season plants.

Ms. Schock joined the Backyard Produce gardening project early in its inception, and she will also be sharing information about how some community gardens are adapting to support production-style donations.
