Mariano Salvatore Vincenzo Manno (Mario), 44, of Ramona, went to be with his Lord on June 20, 2024. Mario was a kind, loving soul who loved his family dearly, especially his daughter. His love of animals was evident in his passion for caring for them. Mario was also passionate about creating art, especially apparent in his drawings. In his younger years, Mario was a stand-out soccer player playing for multiple club soccer teams and making the Scripps Ranch High School Boys Varsity Soccer team as a freshman, scoring the first goal of the season. Mario was also an accomplished football player, playing linebacker and kicker for Scripps Ranch High School, resulting in a college football scholarship offer. Being a well-liked student athlete in high school, Mario became homecoming king his senior year.

In adulthood, Mario began working in the concrete industry as a concrete finisher. Mario married and had a single child, Rylei, whom he adored and loved dearly until his final breath. After his divorce, Mario devoted his life to God and joined the Knights of Columbus. He later decided that the Lord was calling him to enter the priesthood, so he began preparing for his journey. Mario enjoyed being an uncle to his four nieces and one nephew and loved them all very dearly. Mario was affectionately known to them as “Bah” and “Coco.”

Mario touched many lives in so many positive ways. His cheerfulness and smile, combined with his occasional silly antics and words of encouragement, allowed him to create memorable and life-long friendships.

Mario was preceded in death by his father, Gaetano Manno, uncle Dominic Manno, and brother-in-law Cary Brooks. He leaves a legacy through his daughter Rylei Manno, mother Maria Elena Manno, brother Gaspare Manno, sisters Rose Mary Manno Brooks and Gracy Manno Ibarra, nieces Gabriella Manno, Julia Ibarra, Alyssa Manno, and Monica Ibarra, nephew Nate Manno, and many cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on July 10, 2024, at St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta, in Winchester, CA. Internment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, CA. A reception will be held in Winchester following the services.
