You’re invited to an Open House to learn more about the SDGE electric transmission line going down Stonebridge Parkway to Pomerado Road to the I-15. If you want to be notified by email regarding this project and traffic impacts send an email to [email protected]
On October 13, 2016, the California Public Utilities Commission granted San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) a certificate of public convenience and necessity approving the construction of the Sycamore-Peñasquitos 230 kV Transmission Line Project, configured with Alternate 5 – Pomerado Road to Miramar Area North Combination Underground/Overhead. This alternative is an alignment south of SDG&E’s originally proposed project.
Construction of the underground and overhead components of the new 230-kV transmission line is anticipated to begin in February 2017. The line will connect SDG&E’s existing Sycamore Canyon and Peñasquitos substations – 11.5 miles underground and 3 miles above ground. We understand that potential traffic impacts during construction will create an inconvenience for residents, business owners and patrons alike. SDG&E is committed to working closely with the community and local businesses to help minimize these impacts as much as possible or eliminate them, when feasible.
We invite you to our upcoming Open House (details below) to learn about the project. SDG&E staff will be available to answer your questions about construction activities and take feedback from residents and business owners. February 15, 2017 Location: Holiday Inn Miramar 9335 Kearny Mesa Road, San Diego, CA 92126 Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The meeting is an Open House, please feel free to stop by anytime during the scheduled hours.
