Pat, loved by many, leaves behind her adoring husband Pete, daughter Marie, son Paul, grandchildren Zoe and Tyler, Abigail and Mackenzie, and sister-in-law Patricia Howard Chapman. Known for her tenacity, ready smile, and quick wit, Pat always faced the challenges of life head-on with her usual unwavering grit, intelligence, and elegance. Her high energy and many talents enabled this dedicated Navy wife to have a rewarding nursing career, commit over 20 years as a volunteer for the Assistance League of San Diego, and start a floral design business called “Flowers with Love.” Along with her professional endeavors, Pat was an ever-present hands-on parent as a Girl Scout leader and tennis coach. She was actively involved in shuttling to and from swim team events, tennis matches, football games, and other activities. Pat’s free time was spent painting, doing craft and art shows, tending to her precious garden, playing solitaire, playing league tennis, and spending time and traveling with her husband of 62 years. Rest in peace, Pat. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held for friends and family at St. Brigid Church 4735 Cass Street San Diego, CA 92109, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 11:30 a.m.
