First Baptist Church of Mira Mesa

Two thousand years ago, the birth of Jesus Christ changed the way we number our years. As you fill the days of your new 2000 calendar, consider important things first. School, work, scouts, sports, and clubs may be significant. However, you ought not to neglect your Creator!

At First Baptist, your spiritual needs will be met in ways that will amaze you. You also will find many worthwhile events to occupy your time. Choirs for adults, children, and preschoolers are available for family members who enjoy singing. Weigh Down workshops can be put on the schedule for those who over-indulged over the holidays. Family members who wish to dig deeper into God’s Word will find several Bible studies, including “Experiencing God.” Every age group, from preschoolers through single and senior adults, have designated groups that engage in profitable activities.

You will be pleasantly surprised when you visit and realize how well your life will flow when you put Christ first. Phone 566-3671 to find out how your life will be enriched at First Baptist.

Scripps-Mesa Bible Church (SMBC)

Happy New Year! If you are reading these words instead of burning this or using it in some other less desirable way, then Y2K has not been as bad as many suggested. Either way, we at SMBC believe God is involved in this world and in the individual lives of people. We believe He has a plan for each of our lives. A plan that transcends the ever changing circumstances of life and provides a real sense of future and lasting hope.

We believe that knowing God through Jesus Christ is the way to the abundant life. We believe that knowing God will transform you and those around you. Why don’t you make this year the year you seriously check God out. Open your Bible; visit one of the churches in your area. If you seek God, He will show Himself to you. Start today!
