First Baptist Church of Mira Mesa

Does Bart Simpson mold the value system of someone close to you? Is your knowledge of God’s Word broad enough to pass a simple Bible test? The San Diego Union recently recognized both the lack of biblical knowledge among Christians and the role of television in shaping values.

First Baptist Church is here to help you instill true moral values in your children’s lives. In a day when clean rooms, more sanitary than hospital operating rooms, are needed to make computer chips, how much more important is it to develop clean chips within our young people’s mental computers? Our youth minister, Randy Fields, dreams up special activities that keep teens active in church. This month, they are going skiing the weekend of Feb. 25-27.

Our newest service, the Mira Mesa Pregnancy Center, is located behind Wendy’s, and can be reached at 689-9560. The Center offers help with unplanned pregnancies, help with post-abortion healing, and other assistance for women in difficult situations.

You will find something good at our table, so come and get it! We even offer something most churches can’t offer: teaching from a responsible member of the Simpson family!

Scripps-Mesa Bible Church

“Christianity has not so much been tried and found wanting as it has been found difficult and left untried,” G.K. Chesterton. As one walks with God, hardship will come, but there is someone who is always with us, someone who identifies and embraces our pain, someone who gives hope that becomes our anchor during the storms of life. To those who call upon His name, Jesus states, “I will never leave you or forsake you” and promises that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. God is a loving father who desires a personal relationship with you. That is what Jesus was all about. Check God out: read the New Testament, visit a church service, open up your heart and mind to the possibility that there is a God and He wants you to know Him. We are SMBC.
