Scripps-Mesa Bible

Easter is almost here, the time when we remember the gift of life that God has offered us through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus’ lifeless body was taken from the cross and laid in a tomb; however, that was not the end of the story. Jesus rose from the dead, appeared to witnesses, and demonstrated that He was the promised Messiah sent by God to bring forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope to all people. Easter is the day we remember an empty tomb and are reminded of God’s love, power, and holiness.
