Scripps-Mesa Bible Church

Scripps-Mesa Bible Church (SMBC) realizes that pain, unpleasantness, and suffering are all realities of life which we often refuse to think about. We push them down, deaden them, or simply ignore them. However, like it or not, much of our suffering stems from searching for a satisfying and rewarding life. But that life eludes us–bigger house, younger spouse, promotion, raise, new toy–bring only fleeting joy, a momentary satisfaction, and then it is gone.

God has placed eternity in our hearts. We long for something beyond what we taste, touch, and see. When we acknowledge that there is nothing in this world that can fully satisfy us, that at our core there is emptiness which nothing can fill, then we are ready to “taste and see God is good.”

If you are at this point in your life, we invite you to visit SMBC. God has great things in store for you.
