Have a Ball at Soccer Camp

The Scripps Ranch High School Falcons Summer Soccer Camp for advanced players entering 8th, 9th, or 10th grade in the fall of 2013 will be held from Monday, July 15, through Thursday, July 18. It includes coaching, a T-shirt, and pizza party. For more information, please contact Coach Hans Witzell at [[email protected]] for boys, or Coach Larry Pernicano at [[email protected]] for girls.

Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer

If you want to play football or do cheer this fall, it’s not too late to sign up! We still have openings in all divisions. If your child plans to play football or do cheer in high school, we recommend they participate in Pop Warner. Our coaches will prepare your child by teaching the fundamentals of football, and our cheer trainers teach all the high school cheers to our cheerleaders! To sign up, please go to our website and register online.

A very important part of Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) football and cheer is the Little Scholars program. All players and cheerleaders must maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher to participate. Those players who reach a minimum of 96% GPA are nominated for the All-American Scholars.

We are very proud to announce that Jason Kim, Anish Chigurupati, Gabriel Pennington, Chad Buley, and Chloe Leeper were all named 2013 Pop Warner All-American Scholars. This is a tremendous accomplishment that will be recognized at both the Palomar Pop Warner conference and National conference banquets this summer! Congratulations to these outstanding scholars and athletes!

Once again, SRPW will participate in the 4th of July Parade. All players, cheerleaders, coaches, and volunteers are invited to join us! We will distribute player equipment on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 28, at the SRPW container located at Scripps Ranch High School. Players must bring their completed physical forms and final report cards to receive equipment. Mandatory conditioning starts on Thursday, Aug. 1, so please don’t plan vacations after this date!

Please check our website at [www.scrippsranchpopwarner.com] for the latest information. Go Falcons!!

Scripps Ranch Women’s Athletic Club

The Scripps Ranch Women’s Athletic Club (SRWAC) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide the residents of Scripps Ranch and nearby communities with sports programs and sports-related support. The SRWAC offers basketball, volleyball, and soccer leagues throughout the year for women 25 years of age or older, as well as coed softball.

Our fundraising and volunteer efforts are focused in Scripps Ranch: we provide several scholarships annually for local high school senior girls, support youth and high school sports programs, and sponsor Symphony in the Park.

Coed Softball: A new 10-week coed softball league will be offered beginning Tuesday, June 25, through Aug. 27. Applications are being accepted for women and men 25 years and older of all abilities. Games are played Tuesday nights at 7 pm. The cost is $50 for non-SRWAC members or $45 for members. Registration is on an individual basis. Teams are assigned prior to the first night of the league. For details and the registration form, please visit our website at [www.srwac.org].
