Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer
It’s time to sign up for Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) Football and Cheer! If your child is 5–7 years old and interested in flag football or 7–15 years and wants to play tackle football, sign up now. We also have cheer squads for 5- to 15-year-olds! This is a great chance for kids to learn the fundamentals of football and cheer, practice teamwork, and get in shape!
Register online at [www.scrippsranchpopwarner.com]. Print your forms and bring them, along with the needed paperwork, to sign-ups. Our registration dates are Saturday, Apr. 12, from 9 am to 2 pm, and Tuesday, Apr. 22, from 5 to 8 pm at the SR Recreation Center. We will collect paperwork, weigh players, fit them for uniforms and equipment, and have nurse practitioners onsite to do physicals.
Your child’s birth certificate and a current 2×3 color photo are required. We strongly recommend all players sign up in the lowest weight and age division possible. A child’s age on July 31 is his age for the season. We look forward to seeing all of our returning players and many new faces this year. For more about SRPW, please visit our website. Go Falcons!

Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club (SRSC) is planning for the 2014 soccer season. We completed our competitive soccer tryouts for players 14 years of age and younger. Competitive tryouts for players 15 and older take place on Sunday, Apr. 13, at the Scripps Ranch High School stadium. Visit [www.scrippsranchsc.com] for all the tryout information.
The club had its annual dinner/meeting in January at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. We showcased the trophies that will be used for our annual Charlie Stenzel Memorial Recreational 3v3 Tournament. We also memorialized and reflected upon the life of Charlie Stenzel and how valuable he was as a cofounder to our club.
