Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
For those who have registered for our recreational soccer program, you should be contacted by your child’s coach in late July or early August. Practices begin in August and continue through the soccer season. Recreational and competitive soccer games begin Saturday, Sept. 6.
We expect to have more than 150 teams this season and, consequently, are always looking for additional sponsors. A full sponsorship is $300. Our sponsors’ names are displayed on a large banner at soccer games through the season and recognized in our “Sponsor Thank You” recognition page in the SRCA Newsletter.
Our sponsors also receive a “Thank You” plaque and invitation to our sponsor/coach year-end celebration dinner. We encourage all sponsors and potential sponsors to visit our website for exciting sponsorship opportunities, including different levels, the opportunity to sponsor events, and benefits for our valued sponsors.

SRWAC Announces Scholarship Recipients
The Scripps Ranch Women’s Athletic Club (SRWAC) would like to congratulate Karly Hampshire, Taylor Nguyen, and Emma Schopp of Scripps Ranch High School, and Riley Hawblitzel of Cathedral Catholic High School as this year’s college scholarship recipients (below). These impressive young women were selected based on their academic, athletic, and community service achievements. We wish them the best as they pursue their academic and career goals. Congratulations!
The SRWAC is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide the residents of Scripps Ranch and nearby communities with sports programs and sports-related support. The SRWAC offers basketball, volleyball, and soccer leagues throughout the year for women 25 years of age or older, as well as coed softball. Our fundraising and volunteer efforts are focused in Scripps Ranch: we provide scholarships annually, as noted above; support youth and high school sports programs; and sponsor Symphony in the Park concerts.

Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer
With a month until conditioning camp, the Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) Board of Directors and coaches are getting ready for the season. We still have room in all divisions for football and cheer except for our Midget division, which we are not able to provide this year.
Once again we will march in the 4th of July Parade where we hope to earn another ribbon! We will distribute all equipment and uniforms on Saturday, July 19, from 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday, July 27, from 10 am to 1 pm at our storage container at Scripps Ranch High School.
Conditioning camp starts Friday, Aug. 1, and continues until Thursday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 7:30 pm. It’s mandatory that all players and cheerleaders complete 20 hours of conditioning before practice.
Our Opening Day festivities and picture day are on Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Scripps Ranch Community Park. We will have food, vendors selling football and cheer items, jumps, and our Parade of Teams!
We look forward to another exciting season! Go Falcons! For details, visit [www.scrippsranchpopwarner.com].
