Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer

Our season started on Friday, Aug. 1, with two weeks of conditioning followed by practices. Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) football conditioning and practices will be at Dingeman Elementary School and the Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) soccer field. Cheer will practice at the SRHS softball field.

We have been busy preparing for the season. Our coaches have been getting CPR certified and attending training meetings and clinics. They all have been extensively trained in the most updated Heads Up Football safety training and will share what they learned with parents. We also held our first-ever summer flag football and conditioning camp.

We continued our tradition of marching in the Scripps Ranch 4th of July Parade. We are proud to announce that our Pop Warner cheerleaders came in 3rd place in the Performing Group category, so congratulations to everyone who participated!

Players will be weight certified on Saturday, Aug. 23. Opening Day festivities and picture day are on Sunday, Aug. 24, and our first home games are on Sunday, Aug. 31, at the SRHS stadium. For details and game schedules, visit []. Go Falcons!

Also, we look forward to food booths from local restaurants, retail sales booths, and other activities! All are invited to come early and stay late!

Scripps Ranch Girl Competes at Petco Park!

Scripps Ranch resident Michelle Kramer (pictured below) recently competed in the Major League Baseball (MLB) Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition. Michelle won the local contest for the 7-8-year-old group and competed in and won the sectional.

Her high sectional score also qualified her for the Team Championship at Petco Park in June, where she competed against girls from Southern California and Nevada. Michelle placed second! Michelle has played in the Scripps Ranch Softball Association’s T-Ball, Rookies, and 8U divisions. Congratulations, Michelle!
