SRPW Football and Cheer

Our Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) 2014 season has come to an end, and it was our best season ever! For the first time, all three of our older tackle teams made it to the championship games, and our Jr. Pee Wee team won the championship game advancing to regionals!

Our Pee Wee team finished with an 8-2 record, and our Jr. Midget team had a 6-3 record. As of this writing, our Mighty Mite team has an 8-2 record, and our little Jr. Mighty Mite team finished 4-4-1. Our littlest Fighting Flag team finished 4-4, and our Flying Falcon team finished 5-3.

Our cheerleaders also had an amazing season, with our Jr. Midgets winning first place at the annual cheer competition at Viejas arena, and our Jr. Pee Wee squad finishing in second place. Both squads advanced to the regional competition.

They always say that you should go out on top, so after nine years, I am stepping down as president of SRPW. I started this organization nine years ago so our kids could play football and cheer for their own community. I never thought it would become what it has, and I am very proud of what we have accomplished.

I hope I have given Scripps Ranch an organization that will be a part of this community for many years to come. SRPW will always be close to my heart and I will always stay involved. Thank you to all the parents, coaches, volunteers, players, and cheerleaders who have supported me over the years and have dedicated their time to our organization. Best of luck to our current and future Falcons!

2015 Registration Information

Regular registration for the Scripps Ranch Softball Association’s (ASA) 2015 season runs through Monday, Dec. 15. The fee is $145 plus a $40 snack bar deposit. After that, we will accept late registration until we are full. The fee rises to $200 plus the snack bar deposit. For questions, please contact Woody at [[email protected]].

The T-Ball fee is $50 plus a $40 snack bar deposit for any girl born in 2009. For more registration information, please visit [www.srsoftball.org].

In order to maintain compliance with the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), our governing body, our divisions are organized by age. Please visit [www.srsoftball.org/page/show/1023792-registration] for the specific age divisions.

Most of the girls will play where their age places them. However, it may be necessary, due to safety or coaching considerations, to allow players lacking sufficient softball experience to be placed in a lower age division. This will be determined prior to team placement with parent, coach, and board member(s) involvement.

Player evaluations take place around Saturday, Jan. 10, at Cypress Canyon Park. Practices start around Monday, Feb. 2, and the regular season runs from February through early May. Girls are welcome to play in the SRSA regardless of where they live. Please keep in mind that you will need to be in Scripps Ranch two to three days per week. If your player can get to Scripps, we’d love to have her!
