Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club’s (SRSC) 2012 season is well under way with more than 1,500 recreational and competitive players participating. Some of the regular soccer season schedules go through mid-December, with tournament play continuing thereafter. Congratulations to our teams who won tournaments over the summer, including the three pictured on this page.
We are always looking for additional sponsors. A full sponsorship costs $300. The names of our sponsors are displayed on a large banner at soccer games throughout the season and recognized in our "Sponsor Thank You/Recognition" page in the SRCA Newsletter. Our sponsors also receive a "Thank You" plaque and invitation to our sponsor/coach year-end dinner. We encourage all sponsors and potential sponsors to visit our website and see the new and exciting sponsorship opportunities, including different levels of sponsorship, the chance to sponsor special events, and additional benefits for our valued sponsors.
For details about the SRSC, visit our website at [http://scrippsranchsc.com] or call the hotline at 974-5393.

National Junior Basketball (NJB) is celebrating its 28th anniversary and our local Scripps Ranch chapter is getting ready to start its 16th season! The NJB program is designed to introduce, teach, and develop the fundamentals of basketball to our local youth–as well as to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition. We feel this creates a valuable learning experience for the children. The program also promotes self-esteem through teamwork.

SRPW Star Quarterback
Marcus Yandall, Scripps Ranch Falcons quarterback, had a good first game of the season for Scripps Ranch Pop Warner’s (SRPW) 7th-8th grade squad. He had two running and one passing touchdown! Also, because of injuries to our defensive squad, Marcus had to go both ways playing safety as well. The Falcons beat the league champs from last year–Valley Center Jaguars–30-21!
Marcus was one of two players to be nominated for the "Pop Warner Little Scholars Award" for Scripps Ranch. It is awarded to student athletes with a high grade point average and on-the-field excellence. Pro quarterback Jeff Garcia was a guest speaker at the banquet.
