Register Now for SRLL!
Registration for the 2013 Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) season is underway. Our league is open to players ages 5 to 18 for competition across a number of divisions. Little League age is calculated by the age of the player as of Apr. 30, 2013.
As in the past, SRLL will conduct online registration for returning players. For those just joining, a walk-in registration will be held in early December. Please see the SRLL website at [www.ScrippsRanchLL.org] for details.
This season Little League International is introducing a new program designed to offer a baseball experience that more closely resembles “real baseball.” The Intermediate Division will be played on a field with 70′ base paths–as opposed to the traditional Little League distance of 60′–with the pitching mound set at 50′ as opposed to 46′ on the traditional-sized Little League field. Each local Little League has the opportunity to determine how or if the Intermediate Division will be implemented, so please visit the website for more details.
During the next few months there are many preseason activities including:
- Managers and coaches selected in late December/early January
- Player assessments expected to be on Saturday, Jan. 5 and 12 at Jerabek Park
- Division drafts and team assignments conducted in late January
- Practices begin in early February, with teams usually practicing twice a week until the season starts
- Games begin in early March, maybe later for T-Ball
SRLL is a volunteer-run organization that is always looking for help. Please consider volunteering your time and talent. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact me at [[email protected]]. For more information about SRLL, please visit [www.ScrippsRanchLL.org].

Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
For the most part, our recreational season has concluded, although a few divisions will play through December. Most of our competitive teams will be involved in post-season and tournament play into early next year.
Once again the Scripps Ranch Soccer Club (SRSC) wholeheartedly thanks the numerous volunteer recreational soccer coaches, team parents, competitive managers, board members, and club supporters for the immeasurable number of hours that went into making this a fun and rewarding soccer season.
For more about the SRSC, please visit [http://scrippsranchsc.com] or call the hotline at 974-5393. On behalf of the SRSC, I wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season.

Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer
We have finished our 2012 Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) season and it was a great year. Our Flag Red team went undefeated with a record of 8-0. Our Jr. Mighty Mites and Mighty Mites finished with 9-2 records. The Jr. Midget team (below) had an 8-3 record. Our Jr. Midget cheerleaders finished third at competition and went to Regionals.
We have had so much great feedback from families that they are happy with what their children are learning about teamwork, hard work, commitment, and learning the fundamentals of football and cheer. We also want to thank all of our volunteers, coaches, board members, and families for helping to make SRPW such a great organization. Our signups are in March. For details, please go to [www.scrippsranchpopwarner.com].
