Can You Help?
We are looking for volunteers to join the Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) Board of Directors for 2017. To hear more about how you can help, please email Ryan Leighty at [email protected]
SRLL depends on sponsorships and donations! Please help us. Since we are a nonprofit organization, your donation is tax deductible. Many levels of league and team sponsorship are available, and we welcome your inquiries at [email protected] Thank you!
SRLL is recruiting for our 2017 Volunteer Umpire Program. Participants receive formal umpire training on Sundays during the preseason and regular season. Residents, retirees, military personnel, Scripps Ranch Old Pros, and others are invited to participate in this volunteer opportunity.
In return for umpire training, SRLL will expect you to umpire at least two games per week during the regular season and playoffs—March through June—and a minimum of five District 32 postseason games in June and July. A true volunteer spirit exists in SRLL! To become part of our umpire team, please contact Ryan Leighty at [email protected]
It’s not too late to register your child for spring baseball. Late registration is available at www.ScrippsRanchLL.org.
Player assessments are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 7 and 14, from 8 am to 4 pm. Registered players will receive specific information as the date approaches.
Mark your calendars for Opening Day on Sunday, Feb. 26! This is a great family day filled with a parade, awards ceremony, the Home Run Derby, and much more!
Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club (SRSC) has wrapped up its 2016 regular season play. However, a number of our teams continue to play in postseason soccer tournaments. Our club again expresses sincere thanks to all who contributed toward making this a fun, rewarding, and successful soccer season.
On Friday, Jan. 6, at the La Estancia our club will host its annual dinner to honor and give thanks to our sponsors, recreational and competitive coaches, and competitive managers. We also will hold our annual meeting. For more information regarding the SRSC, please visit http://scrippsranchsc.com.
On behalf of the SRSC, I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.
