Help the Kids
Opening Day was a fun-filled event to kick off the Little League season. Thanks to all the players and families who came out to enjoy the festivities.
Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) is supported by families in the community, along with sponsors and donations. Our player registration fee covers most of the “basic” needs—uniforms, insurance, and umpire fees—but registration doesn’t pay for much more. Simply put, registration won’t pay for many, if any, of the things we need to make playing better and safer.
Last season we received donations that allowed us to make noticeable improvements to some fields and we are grateful to those donors. There are many more projects we need to complete to enhance the player experience but we need your help.
Donations can be made by businesses and individuals. Since we are a nonprofit organization, your donations are tax deductible. Please help us reach our 2017 goals. There are two types of sponsorships—league and team—and each has multiple levels. Please go to www.scrippsranchll.org for details. Thank you for supporting SRLL and kids.
Scripps Ranch Soccer Club
The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club (SRSC) has started planning for the 2017 season. We recently completed our competitive soccer tryouts for players with birth years 2003 and younger and are in the process of coordinating our competitive teams. Competitive tryouts for players born from 2002 through 1998, inclusive, take place in April. Check our website for details.
The 2016–2017 season was a great success. The club continues to grow because of our great volunteers and the Scripps Ranch community. Special thanks to all of our volunteers, coaches, assistant coaches, division reps, sponsors, board members, and referees for a great year!
The 2017–2018 SRSC Board of Directors consists of: Scott Brown, president; Ken Marra, vice president; Gina Matthew, secretary; Ailene McManus, treasurer; and Gina Beall, John Colletto, Lori Florez, Gregory Jones, Christina Macatee, and Bob Scharf. ChaCha Namdar remains our director of coaching, and Rick Harmonson remains registrar.
We continue to update and upgrade our website with new and exciting information about Scripps Ranch soccer. Please visit us at www.scrippsranchsc.com and follow us on Facebook for updates.
