The National Junior Basketball (NJB) program is designed to introduce, teach, and develop the fundamentals of basketball to our local youth, as well as to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition. NJB believes this creates a valuable learning experience for the children of our community.

Scripps Ranch NJB just celebrated its 20th anniversary with almost 480 neighborhood boys and girls in grades 3–8 who made up our 49 teams! We are very grateful for our local sponsors—see the full-page ad to your left—who helped fund and support this year’s league. We would not have been able to provide such a great program without their help.

League play concluded the last weekend in February with our Division 1 Tournament, where Teams Stewart and Fields were the division champions. Our closing ceremony immediately following the championship game and was a big hit. We had a special guest speaker, former NBA player Chris Dudley! The kids also enjoyed pizza and sodas! Our 12 All-Star teams competed in several exciting NJB postseason tournaments in March.

As we close the scorebooks on another season, we would like to thank our players, coaches, parents, and Scripps Ranch High School for making this season such a success! We hope you enjoy your off-season and we look forward to seeing you on the courts in the fall! Registration for the 2017–2018 season opens on Friday, Sept. 1. We Need You!
