SRLL in the World Series!

The Intermediate All-Star team from Scripps Ranch (pictured above) played amazing baseball and won district, section, state, and regional tournaments to represent the entire western region in the Intermediates Division of the Little League World Series! After winning the first round, unfortunately, the team hit a couple of bumps. However, they had an amazing experience and got to play against teams from across the country and even Europe. Congratulations to the boys and the coaches for their feat of reaching the World Series!

We are preparing for Fall Ball and will start the league in early September. Visit www.scrippsranchll.org for details.

We need your help. Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) is a volunteer driven organization, and we need board members for a number of positions. Please reach out to us if you are able to assist. Email us at [email protected] or visit www.scrippsranchll.org or our Facebook page.

Soccer Season Kicks Off

The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club’s (SRSC) recreational season begins Saturday, Sept. 8.

There will be nearly 100 boys and girls teams playing all across Scripps Ranch from now until November. In addition, our 28 SRSC competitive soccer teams begin their Presidio League and San Diego Development Academy seasons that weekend. On behalf of the board of directors, we wish everyone a fun, safe, and rewarding season.

The inaugural Scripps Ranch Summer Classic was played in August. Boys and girls teams in 12 age groups competed for the title of champion. There was a festival atmosphere at the fields. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists!

Mark your calendar for Socctoberfest on Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Scripps Ranch Community Park. From 9 am to 3 pm we will have our Picture Day and Socctoberfest, including bounce houses, a giant slide, bubble soccer, and a whole lot more. We also will have food, beverage, and retail sales booths. Come join the fun!

Visit www.scrippsranchsc.com and like us on Facebook for the latest events. We look forward to a fun season!

Register for Winter League

For more than 20 years boys and girls have honed their basketball skills in the Scripps Ranch chapter of National Junior Basketball (NJB). This parent-run program teaches the fundamentals of basketball, and promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.

Practices are typically once a week and games are played on Sundays, usually at the Scripps Ranch High School gym. Unfortunately, due to our inability to secure sufficient court space, we will not offer Division 1—7th and 8th grade—this season. We will continue to feature basketball for boys and girls grades 3–6.

Register your child for a fun basketball season—November through February—at www.ScrippsRanchNJB.org. Registration ends on Saturday, Sept. 29.
