Volleyball anyone?

Bump….. set….. spike!

If those words mean anything to you, we need you! We are attempting to see if there is any interest in starting an adult recreational volleyball league here in Scripps Ranch. None of the details are worked out yet, but since most of the WAC sponsored sports are for those 25 and over, that would most likely be the case with this as well. We have not ruled out making it co-ed, so if there are guys out there who are interested as well, let us know! (You just have to remember to “play nice”!) No experience is necessary and anyone is welcome!

If you are interested, please contact Mary Lawler, the WAC president at [email protected] or by phoning her at 271-8311. We’ll let you know what kind of response we get!

Middle School Roller Hockey

The Marshall Falcons Club Roller Hockey Teams recently completed the spring season at the Escondido Sports Center. This was the first year Roller Hockey Teams, made up of Middle School age students living in Scripps Ranch, were entered at the Escondido Sports Center.

The Junior High A Division Team had a record of 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. This gave them a second place standing in their division. The Junior High B Division Team had a record of 4 wins, 5 losses and 1 tie. This gave them a third place standing in their division. Both teams had a great season.

Try-outs for the fall will be held in August. If you are interested in trying out or would like more information please contact Patty Crooks at [email protected] or 653-3753. The teams are especially in need of players interested in playing Goalie.
