Stargazing in Scripps Ranch- Rain or clouds cancel
Friday, April 1st-7:30pm
Friday, April 22nd
West Sycamore Canyon Staging Area at the east end of Stonebridge Parkway
We’re offering two opportunities in April. George Varga and others from the San Diego Astronomy Association, along with our own Scripps Ranch amateur astronomers, will help us view many of the amazing objects visible in our night sky, including individual stars, clusters, nebula, and possibly even galaxies. Please, NO WHITE FLASHLIGHTS as they ruin our night-adapted vision. Red lens flashlights are fine. If you plan to bring a telescope and have not yet contacted us, sustainables[email protected] and you’ll receive final setup details. The April 1st event is open to viewers starting at 7:30pm; telescope owners should show up at 6:30pm.

For updates, including event times and the go/no-go status for either date, check the San Diego Astronomy Association’s website, and we will also try and update our SRCA Facebook/Twitter for cancellation of event.
