Plan Scripps Ranch! There are two planning groups in Scripps Ranch (SRPG and MRNPC). Will you help SRCA help Scripps Ranch? The Scripps Ranch Civic Association has an office, a computer, and information about Scripps Ranch. But we need you! We need volunteers to work in the Information Center a couple of hours a week. Pass out brochures; talk with people who come in; direct people to our website. Treasurer Needed! The Scripps Ranch Theatre is looking for a volunteer to serve as Treasurer of the Board. Duties include paying bills, tracking income and expenses, preparing a monthly report, and attending monthly Board meetings. Bookkeeping experience is desirable; experience with Quicken helpful. Landscape your neighborhood! The Scripps Ranch Landscape Maintenance District (SRLMD) is looking for residents who have an eye for improving their area. Volunteer for Lunch. We are seeking volunteers to staff the Information Center during the hours it is closed for lunch, from 1:00-2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Volunteers will answer phones and assist any walk-in traffic by providing tours of the Center, general information on the operations of the Center and City resources, history of the community and Center, and information on other community resources such as the SRCA. Are you a senior citizen in search of a mission? The SRCA Events Committee needs volunteers to help coordinate the larger community-wide meetings. We need help setting up meeting rooms, providing refreshments, and making sure traffic is directed. Senior citizens, who are available during the day, would be ideal. How about a new challenge that’s exciting and interesting, where your help will be very much appreciated? Volunteers are needed for short 2.5-hour shifts working in Book Nook at the Scripps Ranch Library. Duties involve selling used books, T-shirts, and other items during one of three shifts each day. This innovative program is called Volunteers in Policing (VIP) and is open to individuals 18 years of age or older. VIP’s work an average of four hours each week, inside the station.
